My sister who moved to New Caledonia last year with her boyfriend, has had quite an inspiring idea to furnish her place at a fairly low cost by using recycled wood crates and pallets (no IKEA shop in Noumea…), adding something to its interior design.
For instance she set up a couch out of some wood pallets for her living room and created a low sitting bench for her terrace, using the same kind of material. She also made a coffee table by using four pallets, and turned some old crates into wall shelves. A cheap, functional, convertible and genuine kind of furniture to improve your interior design when you’re on a budget!
