Hermès Vintage Fair (Paris)

Last updated:

The news was enough in itself to delight collectors and Hermès enthusiasts. From October 23rd to 25th 2015, thousands of iconic pieces created by the French luxury brand will be honored during the Salon Vintage des Collectionneurs d’Hermès (Vintage Fair of Hermès Collectors & Enthusiasts) at the Hotel du Louvre in Paris.

Vintage and Luxury

This is the first time that an event of this scale combining Hermès  vintage and luxury products, will be held. Curated by Catherine Lecomte, the founder of the e-commerce website Katheley’s, this first edition will put Hermès’ entire vintage universe under the limelight, with a dozen exhibitors from France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Spain and the U.K.

From upholstery to leather goods, jewelry and the iconic silk Carrés, Hermès’ fans will have at their disposal some the most prestigious objects ever made by the brand, like for instance the “Kelly” and “Birkin” handbags. And this time, you won’t need to take with you our useful guide that helps Spot A Fake Designer Handbag From A Real One, as each item showcased at the event will go through a strict scrutiny process supervised by experts, before going on sale.

In addition to Hermès flagship products, visitors will also have the privilege to discover some especially rare creations, as well as limited edition.

You can even sell or have your Hermès collection appraised

Before the official opening of the Salon Vintage des Collectionneurs d’Hermès, all products will be inspected by experts in order to ensure the authenticity of each of the pieces presented.

Visitors will also be able to appraise their Hermès items, and put them on sale if they wish to part with it. In addition, this event will host the Musée des collectionneurs Hermès exhibition (“Museum of Hermès collectors”), which includes a series of prestigious creations owned by private collections. Something you might not see again, not even in a museum.
